Barclay's Secondary 2S Tire Shredder
Barclay Secondary Tire Shredder Overview:
Secondary tire shredders take feedstock from the primary or intermediate dual-shaft shredder and process it into smaller chips for a variety of end markets.
This top-feed shredder has cascading blade sizes ranging from 2.00 inches thick down to 1.60 inches, making this equipment ideal as the final stage of the line to produce chips for TDF (tire-derived fuel) or granulating.
- Secondary Role: Final size reduction in the shredder line, producing fuel chips or feedstock for granulating
- Max Feedstock Size: Pre-cut tire shreds discharging from the Primary or Intermediate Shredder ahead of it
- Output Chip Sizes: 2″ nominal chips, cascading cuts from 1.60″ to 2.00″ (custom sizes available)
- Feed Configurations: Top load, allowing oversized pieces to be re-fed until the desired chip size is reached
- Throughput: 12-15 tons per hour of graded 2-inch tire chips
Why Choose Us
Built with the same overbuilt engineering as our Primary and Intermediate Shredders, the 2S Secondary Tire Shredder uses a modular knife/base combination with only three bolts per knife, making knife changes easier and cutting down on overall maintenance time. Rotary strippers keep material from jamming between the knives, so your line keeps running with less downtime.
